Rebuilding on a new Mac

Prerequisites

Install these tools by following their current official instructions:

• Homebrew
• mise

Clone and bootstrap the configuration:

# Create the directory used for development repositories.
mkdir -p "$HOME/Developer"

# Clone the public machine configuration repository.
git clone https://git.moog.ee/rene/rene-mac.git "$HOME/Developer/rene-mac"

# Enter the cloned repository.
cd "$HOME/Developer/rene-mac"

# Trust the repository so mise may evaluate its configuration.
mise trust

# Install brew-managed apps.
brew bundle install --file=Brewfile

# Preview the complete machine setup without changing anything.
mise bootstrap --dry-run

# Install declared packages and apply the managed dotfiles.
mise bootstrap

# Confirm that all declared resources match the expected state.
mise bootstrap status

Install other apps manually:

• vscode
• CQ Mixpad
• Mixing Station
• Davinci Resolve
• Hammond B-3X
• Pianoteq
• Monitor & Ctrl
• Reaper
• Zulip
• WinBox (mikrotik)

After installing VS Code, open it and run 'Shell Command: Install 'code' command in PATH'.
